i recently finished a quilt for a friend's baby based on Karl Blossfeldt's "Natural Art Forms". it was a relatively quick project, only about 6 or 8 days total, since there was no applique. i think it turned out really nice, though.
(seseli gummiferum is the scientific name for moon carrot, whatever that is... anyway, it's the darling plant that the quilt is based on).

Moon carrot! I must make a mental note to start using that as a pet name for my still slightly redheaded, moon-faced daughter. This is a beautiful quilt. You truly are one of the most talented artists I know.
what a sweet thing to say, kns! i'm glad you like it. wait until you see cyrus's (but don't hold your breath, it's taking a while).
