sea urchins

the tiny one is a new caledonian sea urchin, then the pink sea urchin, the bumpy one is the sputnik sea urchin and a green sea urchin. at least this is what evolution, the shop where i got them, calls them; i'm going to find their scientific names. colors are natural

they are real! in shape and color. isn't it amazing. they are called sea urchin "tests" - basically they are the dried shell of the sea urchin after the spines have fallen off. i believe that the bumps are where spines were attached and the holes are where the sea urchins soft little "legs" came out.
