luke and i are looking for a rug to soften the sounds of little puppy feet that emanate from our apartment. this one, by floor to heaven, is inspired by russian folk art. i love it, but it may be a bit to flamboyant for our place (not to mention costly...).

That's way to beautiful for a puppy's home. I hate my living room rug, so I don't mind that it's covered with doggy hair, puke and yes...a stain from doggy diarrhea which was caused by her eating the bottle of wood oil for our butcher block. Yes, the rug is covered with that, too. If my rug were this nice, I fear Lola might no longer be with us.
hey, a girl can dream, right? pek isn't the only thing keeping us from this rug - i think one of two extra zeros at the end of the price are also affecting our decision. i don't know what the cost is, but anything with 'couture' in the name has to give you pause. after all, we've already surrendered our beautiful rust-colored velvet couch to the hound - he's even allowed to chew bones on it (sterilized ones - there are limits). a small price to pay to have him up there for snuggling.
I love that pattern, but I'm not picturing it with your current couch... Perhaps I just lack imagination. I just keep watching Phineas for that blocked anal gland problem where drags his stinky butt all over the furniture! Remember that, Miss Mousey?
